Today St Michael and All Angels School invited Gregg Stevenson MBE to present the inaugural Gregg Stevenson MBE Shield at the school leavers assembly.

This shield is to be presented annually to the student who has shown the most empathy, supportiveness and dedication to learning during their final school year.

The 2025 recipient is Nancy Whitwell.

Nancy was chosen due to her supportive, kind, helpful, compassionate nature and wonderful attitude towards learning.

The award was sponsored by Pendle Borough Councillor and St Michael’s school governor, Cllr Kevin Salter. The Parish Council also gave Nancy a £50 gift voucher.

Foulridge Parish Council will continue to support this award annually.
