In response to residents’ concerns the parish council would like to communicate the following information:

A very large advertising board has been erected over the weekend in Foulridge

As you drive up Causeway it is located at the top of the junction on the righthand side, attached to the end elevation of the Hairdresser’s shop.

The situation todate is:

An enforcement officer for Pendle Borough Council has requested the advertising board to be removed because a planning application has to be submitted first for a decision to be made.  In response the owner of the building has asked for retrospective permission which now has to be allowed and processed.

Once the application has been submitted then residents will have the opportunity to make their comments known either on the planning portal, via an email or in writing.

It is your village and if you have any concerns you should not only send them to Pendle Borough Council but also to the Parish Council who will be meeting in July and no doubt will be discussing this matter on the agenda.
