Room For Hire
The Village Hall, which is centrally heated, is located on Parkinson Street, off Towngate, BB8 7PS, and is available for hire. The room holds a maximum of 100 people and also benefits from a stage.
Wifi
Foulridge Parish Council provides broadband and Wi-Fi facilities at our Village Hall. Access to free Wi-Fi is available to individuals and groups booking the hall or the meeting room. This service is provided in good faith to hirers and the Council expects that the facility will be used appropriately.
You can connect to the Wi-Fi using a compatible phone or computer device with wireless LAN and logon as a guest user. This Wi-Fi is intended mainly for browsing the internet. This Wi-Fi is not a secure network.
Costs
£10.00 per hour for meetings, classes or party hire on any day of the week.
For longer periods of hire e.g more than 6 hours, please contact the caretaker to discuss.
Kitchen
There is use of a large, new, modern kitchen, which is available on a separate hire agreement including a refundable deposit.

Foulridge Village Hall
Our History
The early history of the Village Hall is closely linked to that of Foulridge Ambulance Division. They raised the money to purchase the land in Towngate on which the hall was built.
Originally known as the Assembly Hall, the building was completed with the help of a donation from Edward Carr, who was a generous benefactor to the village. The Parish Council, which had been meeting in the school, was given the use of the hall, then according to the Deed of the Assembly Hall records, if the membership of the Ambulance Association fell below six, the property would pass entirely to the Parish Council as a Village Hall. This actually occurred in the late 1950s.
